Enjoy this photo of Lyn Bucks dogs – the Buckaroo Gang! The adults (L to R) are Bucky, Cedar, Kiss, and BB. Bonner and Jacque are the babies in the front. The babies are out of our Bling/Morgan litter from 12 weeks ago. Lyn took two of the pups home and is running them on the see which one will make its forever home with them. Great Photo Lyn – thanks for sharing!
Lila and Bach
Monday, December 29th, 2008
This is a cute picture I just got of Lila and Bach. And, here is the email I got about how these two new partners in crime get along
“Nate says she’s (Lila)
our “dark delight” – she is all female! While Bach is probably the more outright intelligent, she’s better on the fly and has better problem solving skills. Listen to this – Bach had Bone #1 and was enjoying it. Lila eyed it and tried to approach. Bach said no and walked away and proceeded to chew on it a few feet away. Lila trots off and picks up Bone #2, carries it back, plops down 5 feet right in front of Bach and enjoys the heck out of it, keeping an eye on Bach. Bach stops chewing on bone 1 and says ‘i want that one’ – he takes Lila’s bone and trots away and proceeds to chew on it. Lila watches, makes sure he’s busy with bone 2 and slinks over to bone 1 and looks very pleased with herself. Meanwhile, Bach has a very triumphant look on his face. Poor sap never saw it coming, but then again, the men never do =)”
It looks like we are naming Lila Buckaroo’s Rainbow Delight “Lila” Great name for a cute young lady!
The Holiday Weekend is Over
Monday, December 29th, 2008I write this as Sunday night comes to a close. My post from 3 days ago got us through the holiday. Craig and I went to my mom’s house and had a Christmas Eve get together. My brother Rusty came over with his wife Angie and their children Sage and Cole. Craigs long time buddies and our adopted family members Myles and Tracey joined us. After the get together, the boys (Craig, Myles, and Tracey) went next door Jeff and Bobbies house and played Rock Band til the wee hours of the morning.
On Christmas Day, Craig and I went and spent time with his mom and dad and brother Gary. It was a nice visit. Then we drove out to my dad’s house and his wife Bonnie. We had a grand time there. Then, to end the day, Craig and I went to see “The Curious Tale of Benjamin Buttons”. It was a wonderful movie with tears spead out throughout the entire movie as well as laughter. You gotta go see this movie.
Friday, Craig worked the evening shift, so I had a quite day at home. Actually I drove myself to town for the first time since the surgery and went to Ross and Petsmart. It was a good experience and trip for me as I am still slowly recovering from the surgery.
Saturday was Craigs and my 17th wedding anniversary. Craig worked the lunch shift and then for dinner we went to Maghoney Grill and enjoyed a two hour dinner starting with lobster cargo, wonderful salads, fabolous steaks, and topped it off with an awesome carrot cake. Yum!
Today I had a Canine Sports Academy Trainer Brunch. All of the trainers actually came out for a relaing couple of hours. My foot felt sore and tired today, I took the day off early and rested all day.
This week I have to continue my hard work with physical therapy and get ready to head to dog shows over the weekend. I have lots to do and will be busy! Do not know yet what I will be doing for New Years Eve, probably sitting around the house as Craig is working.
More later!
Merry Christmas!

For those of you who have spent anytime around my crew of dogs, you will probably find this video funny. I did one of the elf dances with their heads and just die laughing everytime I think of each of the dogs personalities when this dance comes on!
Merry Christmas Eve
The Cast is off
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008I know I have been quiet for the past 36 hours or so, sorry about that. I have come down with a cold and have been sleeping a lot and my cast came off yesterday. That is great news – except – now is the hard part. I can not walk on the foot yet – my first steps are re-stretching my tendons and muscles, and I am making loops around our sofa using crutches just trying to slowly get the foot moving again. I am suppose to be in my boot cast, but until I get my foot stretch out more, this is not possible. Plus, I have to start Physical Therapy (which my doc told me I wouldn’t have to do) and PT doesn’t start until January 6th. Oh yeah and my docs PT doesn’t take my hubbies insurance plan so I will have to stay on Cobra for at least another month. UGH! All of this means I can’t get a release to go back to my part time job at Chilis.
I knew I wouldn’t be able to walk the day I got the cast off, but I am a little frustrated by the turn of events. I am slowly doing my own therapy and know I will improve on my own because I am STUBBORN!
Once I can get full weight on my foot and then the boot cast on, I will be more rocking and rolling. Hey, the hard part is over right???
Anyways needed to vent and let ya’ll know I am not mad at anyone – just dealing with this foot has me down and out!
The Drozd’s new family member
Sunday, December 21st, 2008
Congratulations to Lori and Nathan Drozd on their wonderful Christmas present to themselves – their beautiful new baby girl. This is a picture of the how family, including Bach – who from what I hear loves this new girl! The Drozds are taking a day or two to figure out what her name is and when they do, I will post it here and on her web site!
December 23 – The Drozds are definitely calling this little girl “Lila”!!!
Training at Canine Sports Academy
Sunday, December 21st, 2008Training at CSA
This is a quick video showing how Canine Sports Academy is serving the dog fancy. When we have training classes, we have two big open rings – rooms to move about with the students and dogs. When we hold open training on the weekends, we set up three rings. This Saturday we used all three rings, one for obedience, on for conformation, and the other for agility. Students just rotated through each of the rings to work on the excerises they needed to for their dogs. Canine Sports Academy has so much to offer the Central Oklahoma Dog Fanciers – come out and see for yourself!
A Game of Tug of War
Friday, December 19th, 2008tugofwar
This is a great clip of Fletcher and his new play companion Frodo playing Tug of War. This goes on everyday and it’s great watching a mature adult indtact male dog play with a 11 week old puppy. Enjoy the smile you will get watching these two boys play.
