Yeah – Happy Halllloooooweeeen!
Karlee and I traveled to Joplin, MO for dog shows which just happened to be on Halloween Weekend. Karlee (a typical teenager) had to have costumes and made sure we were decorated! And, I promised her candy – so that made her happy! No, we did not wear our cute headbands in the ring, they would have fallen off.
We only had 4 dogs traveling with us, so it was a nice peaceful weekend. Trouble (Rhodesian Ridgeback) was our big winner earning two more of her championship points. She needs 2 more to finish her quest of becoming an AKC champion – so close you can taste it!
Cosmo (Siberian) went Reserve both days, Feather (Siberian) went Best of Opposite Sex. Emma (Kerry Blue) was Best of Opposite Sex both days too. Karlee showed her Dobe, Zeigen – he won his class one day and went second the other day. In Juniors, Karlee earned a 3rd and a 4th place – these were tough wins and we were proud of her.
Jennifer Duffy came up for one day with her two Boston Terriers. Lilly earned her first BEST OF BREED! Moet earned Reserve. I was very proud of Jennifer! She did great showing both girls in the ring.
My Friend Sharon showed Maltese over the weekend. She Showed Poppins on Saturday earning a point. On Sunday she showed Gloriae and she earned 2 points! The girls were only entered one day each so that they didn’t compete against each other and she was so proud to win with both under different judges!
We set up with Trudy. On Saturday – Trudy had 4 dogs go to group -Bramble (Curly Coat) who made the cut, Myles (Pointer), Pablo (Giant Schnzauer) and Elvis (Bearded Collie). On Sunday everyone but Myles made it to group and I do know that Elvis earned a Group 3! His first group placement!!! Trudy also put 2 points on her new Chinese Crested!
My Siberian Client Ruth put her first two points on her Bred By Boy Valentino. We were proud of her and she had to beat Cosmo and I, so we really made her work at it!
My mom attended a TDAA Agility trial with Ursala (Cardigan). They got one qualifying score towards one of her titles. Mom traveled with some of the CSA students, I think the “group” brought home 3 titles and I heard Karen and Duffy (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) earned High In Trial on Sunday!
My friend Barbara attended the Amarillo dog shows with Billy (German Shorthair Pointer) They were there 4 days – and earned 2 Best of Breeds and a group 3.
Tonya and Lauren drove out to Amarillo on Saturday for junior showmanship. They were so not happy with the whole show, they turned around and drove all the way to Joplin to show on Sunday – YES Tonya is one of my craziest friends! Lauren took 2nd on Sunday in juniors!
Jessica stayed home and actually attended a home OSU football game. Laur’en stayed home because her mom had foot surgery Friday.
This Friday Jennifer, Karlee, and I head to Springfield, MO for 2 more days of shows.
